RUFC - Nick not happy being on bench

Rotherham United defender, Nick Fenton thinks that some people took their foot off the pedal on Saturday after being three up and half-time and in the end scrapping for a point.

Speaking to The Star, the thirty year old former Doncaster Rovers player said, 'The lads know they have to concentrate more and kill off games like Burton. We were very disappointed that we let them back in it and there were some harsh words said in the dressing room afterwards.

'We didn`t deserve to be leading but if we`d held on for the first ten or fifteen minutes of the second half we would have been home and hosed. The lads will learn from this because it felt like a defeat on Saturday but, at the end of the day, we still got a point.

'But, all we can do now is put that result behind us and look to the next game and hopefully put it right at Barnet`

After missing the start of the season due to an injury sustained in a pre-season friendly, Fenton was an unused substitute on Saturday and said, 'It`s good to be back in the set up but I`m frustrated because I want to be playing. Ryan Cresswell and Exodus Geohaghon have been doing well and probably deserve their place in the side and I do respect the Manager`s decision but I`m not one of those people who are happy being on the bench.'
