RUFC - 'Bright Sparks' Project to be launched

Rotherham United are launching a new project which will hopefully help unite links with all local primary schools.

The project is to be called Bright Sparks and will help support schools and students in a variety of educational activities which will include assigning a Rotherham United player to each school where advice and coaching on sport, education and nutritional matters will top the agenda.

Speaking to David Beddows of The Advertiser, Participation Officer, and ex-Millers player, Paul Hurst, said, 'The 'Bright Sparks' project is a really exciting initiative which the club will be rolling out over the course of the year. We will be looking to build long-term partnerships with as many with as many schools in the borough as possible.`

As an introduction to the 'Bright Sparks` project, the club will be offering every school a framed Rotherham United shirt as well as an opportunity to visit Don Valley and watch the Millers in action.

Great idea!

I know they tried to do this a few years ago and I really hope it comes off this time. This is the age to get kids into watching their local side
