RUFC - Moore has a lot of time for Sheridan

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore says he has a lot of time for Chesterfield Manager, John Sheridan, who he will meet on Saturday for the first time this season.

Speaking to Les Payne of The Star, Moore said, 'I got Shez on my staff when I was at Oldham where he was in charge of the Youth set-up and I wanted to step him up. I got him with me and John Breckin with the first team and it was a good move.

'He`s a winner and I`ve got a lot of time for him. He`s a good lad and a decent manager who has got his side turned round and who are off to a good start. He was always very inventive on set-plays and always thinking and coming up with ideas

'But, he`s not one to sit on the fence. He`ll be dishing out rollickings in the dressing room. At Oldham he did used to rant and rave and sometimes he`d have his say in unexpected quarters and he`s got a fiery temper.`

Talking about the game on Saturday at Don Valley, Moore said, 'It`s always special because it`s a derby game but something extra is added with the teams being right up there and Chesterfield protecting an unbeaten record.`
