'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore sorry for Ani but . . .

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore feels that it`s sad for Jeremiah Ani that he`s been let go by the club.

'He came on for us in the pre-season game at Tamworth and did really well,` Moore told MillersPlayer. 'And we thought we`ll give him a month and have a good luck at him and see if he can make us any better but with Popey (Tom Pope) being fit and Warney (Paul Warne) knocking on the door, Taylor almost fit and Marcus Marshall who can play up front he had to be that sort of player and unfortunately he didn`t fulfil what we thought he might do.`

Asked about the other loans that the Millers have that are due to end soon, Moore said, 'Yes, we know the situation but I`m not going to say anything yet. I mean, Fenton is fit and chomping at the bit and at the moment we haven`t got another right-back at the club so you probably can tell which we way we will be going with that.

'And there is no doubt that we are looking to strengthen the squad and the Chairman is all for it which is great but it`s finding a player and it may be that one or two have to go out on loan to balance out the budget. We think we are lacking a little bit on somebody who can get the foot on the ball and just steady it down when we come up on a little bit of pressure and we`ve got our eye on a midfield player although the two lads who have played in there have done well and they`ll probably think it`s a bit unfair but we have to try and improve the side and if we can bring better players in then we`ve got to do that.`
