'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore 'we just shaded it'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore said he thought today`s game with Chesterfield was 'fantastic`.

Speaking to MillersPlayer after the game, Moore said, 'I thought we were the better side by a mile in the first half and should have been three up but we knew, sooner or later with the players that Chesterfield have got, that they were going to have a spell in the game and, in the end, we were probably hanging on a little bit.

'Our defenders threw their bodies at everything and I thought there was some great football from us in the first half and with a little bit of luck we might have been three up. Woggy (Andy Warrington) made a great save in the first half and a couple in the second half so, I think, we just about shaded it, though I think we defended on the edge of our box for longer than I thought we would

'I think it was a fantastic advert today for the Second Division and Shez (John Sheridan) will probably think he`s a bit unfortunate today.`
