'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - View from the Opposition Manager

Rotherham United took all three points, thanks to an Adam Le Fondre goal in the second half, in an entertaining encounter with Chesterfield yesterday afternoon at Don Valley and with Millers` Manager, Ronnie Moore saying he thought his side just shaded the game, John Sheridan, boss of the visitors said he thought it was an 'even game.`

'The most disappointing thing for us,` Sheridan told SpireitesPlayer after the game,'is the manner of the goal we conceded.

'It was a shocking goal to concede and it was just that the ball went out of play and players switched off and that should never have happened.

'A few away games we`ve not started away from home for some reason but I think we had the last ten minutes of the first half and had a go in the second half where I thought we passed it a bit more and tried to get an equaliser. We`ve had good chances and I think their 'keeper has made the best save I`ve seen this season today, and I thought we deserved something out of the game. We know what we will get with Rotherham, they`re a big strong outfit who put you under pressure but I don`t think there was much between the sides and I thought a draw would have been a fair result.`

As we have found out to our cost recently, you need to score to have a chance. Millers are still winning games which will keep you near the top. Chesterfield appeared an awkward outfit by the reports.
