RUFC - Alfie pleased to have Tom back beside him

Rotherham United`s top scorer, Adam Le Fondre is pleased to have his strike partner, Tom Pope back beside him in the team.

Speaking to The Advertiser the former Stockport and Rochdale striker said, 'I`ve always linked up well with Tom Pope and when we`ve played together it`s always worked well.`

Pope has just come back after a lengthy injury, coming off the bench to score in the Millers four-one win over Barnet. He then played ninety minutes against Chesterfield, where he had a good game, and most of the game on Tuesday night in the nil-nil draw with Bradford.

When two players click they always miss the other one when he is out through injury. Maybe the two of them can fire you right up the table.

Alfie got that fed up with having no service on Tuesday he started to get the ball himself and shoot from anywhere!
