RUFC - Moore's thoughts on Sodje

Rotherham United drew with Bury at Gigg Lane this afternoon and I, for one, am not sure how Efe Sodje was still on the pitch at the end of ninety minutes.

Like last season, the Nigerian defender, did nothing but needle Adam Le Fondre and although he got booked quite early in the game, after a nasty challenge, the referee, Mr Sutton, let him get away time and again with fouls all game.

After the game, Millers Manager, Ronnie Moore also said that Sodje shouldn`t have been on the pitch after half-time. 'They are saying Alfie dived on the half-way line, but he caught him clean. Then when he`s on the edge of the box and he`s brought him down again, if he hadn`t been booked he`d have got a yellow card, there`s no doubt about that. He`s very lucky.

'I don`t want anybody sent off but I asked the referee how many chances is he getting. He got booked then he was given four life lines so something can`t be right.`

In my eyes all this player did, from the start was go after Alfie with no intention of getting the ball and I was livid that he was still on the pitch at the end of the game.
