'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Changes or not tonight?

Rotherham United look likely to make some changes for the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy game at Burton this evening.

Speaking to MillersPlayer yesterday, Manager, Ronnie Moore said that there will be last minute decision made on defender Tom Newey who has been carrying a back injury for a couple of weeks.

'Ryan Cresswell is going through a bad time at the moment,` Moore said, 'but we`ve had a word and we think he`s better playing than sat about thinking what`s going on and I would imagine he`ll want to play but in the end it will be his decision. I can`t force the boy to play because people handle grief in different ways and whatever`s best for him is something we have to go along with. He`s big and strong and his granddad was a mad Rotherham supporter and I think he`s better playing.

'This is a competition I`d like to win so there won`t be many changes. We are definitely going to change the 'keeper because I need to know about Jamie (Annerson). He did well in the first round against Lincoln but he was hardly tested and I think he`ll be tested a lot more against Burton.`

Asked about the two strikers who are coming back after injuries, Moore said, 'Popey`s (Tom Pope) is miles ahead of Ryan Taylor. Ryan will need fitness work and more fitness work and then he`ll need games. But I would imagine this game, although it would have been ideal, is too soon for him because we`ve got to make sure that he`s physically fit before he plays. But, Popey`s knocking on the door and it might be the ideal game to start him

'One of the midfield players won`t play that played on Saturday.`
