'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Ryan 'is Rotherham through and through'

Rotherham United welcomed back skipper Ryan Cresswell this afternoon after a traumatic time that the twenty-two year old has recently been through.

Ryan's Grandad recently died and the lad took it really hard as his Grandad saying that his Grandad was 'a massive inspiration and my biggest supporter throughout my career. He's the reason I am where I am now and I owe him a massive debt of gratitude for guiding me during my career.'

Well, he started to pay back that debt today when he scored the winner at Accrington in the final minutes of the match and his Manager, Ronnie Moore told Radio Sheffield, It was pleasing, after what he's been through this week, that Ryan Cresswell is back and got the winning goal for us. It's been fantastic that he's come back and he's led the back really well. I know him inside out really and his heart was running but he wouldn't have been any good last week. But everything's been finalised now and he's come out and had a fantastic game for us. He's a twenty-two and he's a leader and although he's still learning he's going to have a fantastic future. He's Rotherham through and through and that's what you need in a captain.'

Welcome Back Skipper!
