RUFC - Chairman 'striker talks going well'

Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart has told Dom Howson of The Star that new deals for strikers Adam Le Fondre and Ryan Taylor will be finalised shortly.

It is more than a month since the club and the players started discussions and fans were beginning to feel a little uneasy about the situation. But, today, the Chairman has said, 'We don`t see any problems.

'There have been one or two meetings so far and I`ve not heard anything that is going to make my eardrum buzz.

'Talks are going smoothly and both Ryan and Adam want what we want and I`d like to think that we can tie the deals up in the next couple of weeks.`

Top scorer Le Fondre has eighteen months left on his contract while Taylor`s contract runs out at the end of this season.
