RUFC - A Fans Interview - Wycombe

RUFC - A Fans Interview - Wycombe

Rotherham United welcome Wycombe Wanderers this weekend at Don Valley and Len from Vital Wycombe kindly answered us a few questions before the encounter.

Why do you support Wycombe?

The stock answer really - They're my local team and I love lower league football. I'd rather drive hundreds of miles in the rain to watch Wycombe play than lie on the sofa and watch the Premier League, and I wish more people felt the same way.

How do you think your season is going so far?

Not quite as well as expected. We still don't have a prolific goal scorer and until that problem's solved I can't see us making the top-three.

Where do you think you will finish this season?

Probably in the play-offs.

Who do we need to look out for on Saturday?

To predict a Wycombe goal scorer I might as well stick a pin in the team sheet. No one player stands out as a particular threat except left-back Andy Sandell who takes a mean free-kick. You might well end up being most impressed by our keeper Nikki Bull.

What's the best and worst grounds you have visited?

The most atmospheric was Celtic Park, the best equipped was Hong Kong Stadium and the least enjoyable by far was Brighton's Withdean Stadium. Ed Note - Oh you`ll love Don Valley then!!!

When you see the name 'Rotherham United' what is the first thing that
comes into your mind?

The Don Valley Stadium I'm afraid.

Predict the score

2-0 to Rotherham (But I could be lulling you into a false sense of
security)

Thanks for taking time out to answer our questions Len!
