RUFC - Millers skipper doubt for Saturday

RUFC - Millers skipper doubt for Saturday

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore says that there is a doubt that his skipper, Ryan Cresswell won't be fit for the game tomorrow.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Moore said, 'Ryan Cresswell has a massive problem with the back spasm he's got and is very doubtful for the game. He's been doing weights like everyone has but last year at Bury he lifted a heavy weight and it caused a spasm and being the guy he is he hasn't said a word to us and carried on doing the weights, which were probably a bit heavier than they were at Bury, and his back has gone back into spasm. I just wish they'd sometimes think 'hold on a minute', I know he's only twenty-two but if he comes to me and says my back's sore from doing weights then we don't do them and the back spasm doesn't come. But now he's going to miss games through it which is a massive blow. You've seen how we missed him on Saturday, although to be fair to young Luke (Ashworth) who came in for him, I thought he did OK.'

Moore is a little worried about Cresswell's injury saying, 'When it's muscle normally you're alright and it doesn't take so long. But he's got a masseur getting it sorted and it's been a long time so it is worrying me a little bit. We are hoping it's not going to be anything more than a muscle spasm but he won't be training before Saturday and if he's nowhere near right then I can't chance it.'
