RUFC - Moore 'we lacked pace'

RUFC - Moore 'we lacked pace'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore said that Macclesfield had come to Don Valley and made it difficult for his side.

The game this evening at Don Valley ended one-one, with Macclesfield going ahead on eighty-four minutes and Adam Le Fondre getting the Millers' equaliser a minute later.

Speaking to The Official Site, Moore said, 'One or two players struggled tonight and you can see that we are lacking pace in certain areas. We need to do something about that sooner rather than later. Pace can hurt teams and we haven't really got enough of it at the moment.

'I thought we kept the ball reasonably well but we didn't have the right tempo to hurt them. When we went a goal down we seemed to realise that we had nothing to lose and started to get balls into the box. The disappointing thing for me is that we didn't start like that.'
