RUFC - View from the Opposition - Macclesfield

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore said he thought his side lacked pace after being held, at Don Valley, to a one-one draw by Macclesfield Town last night.

Macclesfield Manager, Gary Simpson told their Official Site that he felt like they had lost.

'I thought we played the conditions of the first half very well and it feels a bit like a loss when you score first but, to be honest, on reflection, probably a draw is a fair result.`

After it was suggested to him, by the interviewer, that his side outmuscled, outfought and made Rotherham look second best, Simpson said, 'That`s our standard. We work hard, we battle for each other and we did that tonight and yes, they had more possession than us but they didn`t open us up. I thought we defended terrifically and thought we were a bit unlucky with the goal and, on another day we might have been able to hang on and it would have been a fantastic three points.

'We`ve come to a team that are regarded, in this division, as one of the big clubs and we`ve put a show on and done well and I`m pleased for the lads and pleased for the supporters who have come and made the journey on a horrible night.`

Was that a fair reflection of the game? Do you agree with him? Or do you think he's being harsh on the Millers.
Come and tell us, here at Vital Rotherham, what you think....
