RUFC - Moore on the injuries

RUFC - Moore on the injuries

Rotherham United crashed out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at Don Valley this evening to First Division side, Huddersfield Town. And if that wasn't bad enough they picked up three injuries as well.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield after the defeat, Millers Manager, Ronnie Moore said, 'Johnny Mullins injury was massive because we then had to ask a centre-half to go out and play right-back which is hard for him. Ryan (Taylor) came off at half-time with a whack on the knee and Nick Fentons picked up a calf strain as well.

'I'm hoping Taylor will be alright for the Oxford game on Saturday but the other two are going to be big doubts.

'We are a little bit short in the right-back spot and we'll possibly have to do something about that tomorrow and try and get a replacement in there and hope that Fenners is going to be alright, but he has hurt his calf again.

'We've got a list of players and its just a matter of phoning clubs and trying to get someone in. It's not like you're looking for a striker that`s going to score thirty goals and a right-back shouldn't be that difficult for us to bring in.

'Tongey (Dale Tonge) has been running today so he's not a million miles away from being fit, though it might be another two or three weeks so we certainly need to bring a right-back in.

Explaining the absence of top goal scorer 'Adam Le Fondre, Moore said, 'He's picked up a virus so he's been struggling.'
