'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Millers injury doubts ahead of Saturday

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore told Radio Sheffield this evening that there are a few niggly injuries before the game against Oxford on Saturday.

' We've only got fourteen training today and we'll have to see how things go tomorrow. Johnny Mullins is definitely out - he's got an injury to the top of calf and back of knee and could be out two to four weeks. Nick Fenton hasn't trained but he's said he will be fit for Saturday but we will be waiting on Ryan Taylor who has some swelling to his knee and hasn't trained. Adam Le Fondre has trained today.'

Asked about Stephen Brogan, Moore said, 'The problem with Brogs is his fitness levels. He's quality on the ball and his set players were fantastic the other night, it's just a pity we didn't get on the end of some of them. People say I don't like him which is rubbish. The point is, if he's fit and his form is better than the others then he'll be in there.'

Asked about the search for loan players, he said, 'We make enquiries every day but it's just a matter of somebody helping us out. Players are getting lazy and seem to be happy to sit in reserves and pick up their money. If I wanted one or two of my lads out on loan I wouldn't be saying no, I'd say get out there for a month and get some games under your belt and then come back. These days lads are getting big contracts straight away and they get into a comfort zone and are driving their big mercs about but they forget they have to play football because that's there job. But we'll keep going and sooner or later we'll get one.'
