RUFC - Law can 'unlock the door'

Rotherham United midfielder, Danny Harrison thinks that his Manager, Ronnie Moore doesn`t really need to go out looking for a ball playing midfielder, as he has one at the club already.

Moore has made no secret of the fact that he wants someone in midfield who can hold the ball up yet who has also got a bit of pace and has been looking for someone of that ilk for most of the season. But Harrison says there is one already at the club, and that`s Nicky Law, who, Harrison feels can 'unlock the door` for the Millers.

Speaking to The Advertiser this week, Harrison said, 'I think, towards the end of the game on Saturday, we saw the Nicky Law everyone wants to see when he was getting on the ball and running at people. He`s been stuck on the right-hand side a lot but if you give him a free rein then he will find good areas. We all know what he can do.

'The gaffer wants him to play on the right but when he`s playing just in front of me and Jason Taylor it gives him the whole pitch to go and pick up the ball and cause problems.`

Law himself, when he first arrived here, said he preferred to play midfield but both Mark Robins and Ronnie Moore saw him more of a winger, probably because of his pace. Maybe it`s time to give him what he wants and stick him in midfield.
