RUFC - Moore 'Marcus been brilliant all season'

Rotherham United match sponsors voted Marcus Marshall the Man of the Match today at Don Valley and Manager, Ronnie Moore told Radio Sheffield, after the two-one win against Oxford this afternoon, 'Marcus has been brilliant all season to be fair. He`s coming on and has fantastic ability and pace and, what he has got at this present time, is a bit of self belief. We`ve worked hard on him and I thought he was excellent today.`

'I thought Nicky Law was good in midfield and, although Alfie (Le Fondre) got the glory, I thought Ryan Taylor worked hard up front and it was a pity that he didn`t get a goal after his fantastic work rate.`

Asked how he thought new loanee, Danny Coid had done today, Moore said, 'I thought he was fantastic. When you consider he`s not played an awful lot of first team football he did really well. He knows when to play it long, he knows when to play it short and he`ll be a big plus for us.

Skipper Ryan Cresswell didn`t appear for the second half of the game and Moore said, 'He`s got a back spasm again and I don`t want to say how long he will be out because you can never judge how long you`re going to be with a bad back. And it`s a different injury to what he had before, it`s on the opposite side and we`ll go and see a specialist and check what`s going on there because it`s not right. He hasn`t been doing weights since the last time he did it and it`s never happened to him before where he`s had to come off in a game with it. I can`t believe the luck we`re getting at the moment with injuries to players in massive areas for us. He`ll be a big miss there`s no doubt about that. At the moment we haven`t got a left-back. We`ve got the young kid, Luke (Ashworth) who came on today but whether he can come in and play regular is another thing.`
