RUFC - Moore hopes Randall is fit for Christmas

Rotherham United loanee, Mark Randall only managed twenty minutes on his debut against Southend and received a heavy challenge resulting in him breaking a bone in his shoulder.

The twenty-one year old Arsenal midfielder is going to be out for between six and eight weeks, and speaking about him, Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore told MillersPlayer that he is receiving treatment back at Arsenal and also training down there. 'He can`t do an awful lot with his arm but he`s doing leg work and it won`t be long now before he can start doing a bit of swimming.

'It seems ridiculous to bring him all the way here when he`s stationed at Milton Keynes anyway so it`s easier for Arsenal to look after him.

'We`re hopeful that we can get him back around Christmas and if that happens then he`ll be a massive, massive plus for us. We can extend his loan, which ends on 25th January, but we need to get him back here and back to match fitness.`

Asked if he had spoken to Arsenal to see if they are letting others out on loan Moore said, 'Yes, they are but not in the positions we need. But, we`ve got good contacts there and if things work well with Mark then hopefully we`ll get one or two more out of Arsenal and sooner rather than later.`
