'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Coid wants to work hard and play football

Rotherham United's latest loanee, Danny Coid, said the team were better than he thought they were going to be after he'd got his first ninety minutes under his belt on Saturday.

The Millers won two-one at Don Valley and the twenty-nine year old told the Official Site, 'We've got a good set of players here who like to play football and I thought the lads were fantastic today. That suit me fine and made me feel comfortable.'

Coid, who has spent his entire football career with Blackpool said, 'I had an injury last season and I need to get my confidence and fitness back and playing games is the best way to do that. I've been fading away at Blackpool and I have the option of another year in the summer but I don't think I will get it so have to think about moving on.'

Speaking about coming to the Millers, the defender said, 'I'm here for a month to start with but if things go well and I settle in here then who knows what will happen? I like Ronnie Moore as a manager and I wanted to come here and play for Rotherham. I'm not the sort of person who can just sit on the bench and get paid - I want to work hard and play football.'
