RUFC- Moore says five players have turned him down

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore, told Radio Sheffield that he is trying really hard to get a centre-back in as soon as possible.

Speaking after his team`s great performance against Crewe Alexandra this afternoon, Moore said, 'We definitely need to do something. Whether it`s a young kid or not. We need to do something because we can`t trust Cress`s (Ryan Cresswell) back because if he comes back and his back is alright and then it goes again and the deadlines gone, and with Fenners having a little problem with his calf, then we`re going to be in trouble. So we`ve got to definitely bring one in.`

Asked about Nathan Clarke from Huddersfield, the Millers Manager said, 'We`ve asked about him and he doesn`t want to come, which I find astounding because he`s third choice there and not getting a game and I don`t even think he`s on the bench. He wants games and he needs games and I`m just flabbergasted when people don`t want to come and play. Lee Clarke, the Manager`s fantastic but he can`t force the boy do something he doesn`t want to do - I don`t know if he`s waiting for Real Madrid to come in but he`ll have a long wait.

'We`ve had five turn us down between Thursday and yesterday but we`ll keep knocking.`
