RUFC - Millers Physio on the latest injury update

Rotherham United physio, Denis Circuit has given MillersPlayer the updates on the latest injuries.

Ryan Cresswell, who pulled up in the pre-match warm-up at York on Wednesday night - 'Unfortunately it's a recurrence of the back injury he had last week. Two or three days before it had settled down and he trained the day before, we assessed him on the morning and he was confident that he was OK to start. Obviously, we knew there was a chance he wouldn't get through the game but we were all prepared to take the risk and agreed with Ryan's decision to start. Unfortunately, he's gone to head a ball in the warm up and his back went into spasm. It does appear to be a muscular thing because it seems to have settled down again but I think now we've got to rest him, treat him and then wait until he's had at least a couple of training sessions with no reaction.'

Dale Tonge - 'Three weeks ago Dale Tonge got the go ahead to have full contact but we didn't want to rush him back so this last three weeks myself, Paul Warne and Andy Liddell have been working him really hard and he's really put some graft in. He'll be ready to join in full training on Monday of next week.'

Grant Darley - We had a review with a consultant two weeks ago and he's very happy with his progress. But, he's got to do a lot more strength work, go back in two weeks and after that we hope Grant gets the go ahead to have contact. He is training now, but without contact but, obviously until he can get that he can't get back into the reserves.

Tom Elliot - 'Tom's had a week back in full training and has been on the bench for the last two games. He's still continuing with strength work but I'm sure he will be chomping at the bit to get a chance in the games coming up.'
