'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore 'we've got to be positive'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore is hoping that his team will put the same performance in that they did at Crewe on Saturday in tonight`s game with Northampton Town at Don Valley.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Moore said, 'We have that knack, that when we are playing teams that are close to the bottom of the league, that we don`t come out and get at them. We know that Northampton have had a good hiding on Saturday but they are big and they`re strong and we know, if we don`t defend the way we can, then we`ll be in trouble.

'We`ve got to be positive. If we keep the ball and pass it at a high tempo then we`ll start to get some wins at home because we`ve had too many draws. And it would be nice, before the ten day break, well it`s not a break because we`ll still be working just not playing, to finish on a high. If you`re going to get automatic promotion then your home form has got to be top form. If the group of players who played on Saturday set the tempo then no one will live with us, it doesn`t matter who we`re playing. There`s no doubt that whoever we`d have played on Saturday we`d have won because for the solid ninety minutes that was as good as it`s been. . But, it`s getting that consistency.

'If we can keep repeating the performance that we had at Crewe then there is no doubt that we`ll be in the top three this year.`
