'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore hoping to get two in today

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore told Radio Sheffield that he was going to watch a Premiership Reserve game last night in hopes of seeing someone he could persuade to come to the Millers.

Speaking after the game on Tuesday night he said it was difficult at the moment saying, 'Ryan Cresswell will be fit to resume training on Monday. I`ve got John Mullins at centre-half, I`ve got Nick Fenton at centre-half, I`ve got Luke Ashworth at centre-half so it`s trying to get an experienced lad who may come in and sit on the bench or may come in and play, which is a problem. There`s one or two younger kids who can come in and do that, but, at this present time it`s difficult getting any experienced player to do that. But, I`m hopeful that we`ll have a centre-back in before the deadline on Thursday.

'We`ve tried to get Abdulai Bell-Baggie back but there`s two or three other clubs interested in him too and there`s one or two quicker lads, who are available, who we are trying to do a deal with.

'So, it would be nice, by the end of the window, if we`ve got a lad who can play both up front and wide and a centre-back in.`

Moore said that there had been no interest in any of the Millers players, although, he was hoping that after yesterday`s reserve game something might happen then. He admitted that he was surprised that no one had been in for anyone on his list of players who are available for loan and said, 'It`s surprising because we`ve got players who can certainly play at this level. I`m also surprised that we haven`t heard anything about Alfie (Adam Le Fondre) and that hasn`t changed.

'But, yes it is a surprise but maybe it`s because one or two of them aren`t as good as they think they are.`
