RUFC - Taylor 'I've matured'

Rotherham United striker, Ryan Taylor says that he thinks he has matured.

Speaking to The Advertiser, the twenty-two year old said, 'Since the end of last season I have felt a lot better in myself and I thing that is showing in my game.

'People have knocked me at times for not being confident enough but I have always been confident in my ability and I have always had self-belief.

'At the minute, my game is as someone who creates things but I don`t think goals will be a problem for me.`

Well it wasn`t a problem on Tuesday night as he opened the scoring for the Millers in, what in the end, was a disappointing two-two at Don Valley with a cracking goal.

Saying that he and Adam Le Fondre have a good partnership, Ryan said, 'I`m stronger physically now and I think I have matured a bit as a person. Due to injury, I didn`t play at the start of the season and what I need now is a good run of games and to get some goals.`

Ryan, who was a trainee with the Millers, has had loan spells with Burton Albion and, last season, Exeter Town where he helped them to avoid relegation. Coming back from Exeter to play in the play-off finals for the Millers and getting both goals in the Final at Wembley, he seems to have come back a much more confident young man, who, in my opinion, is fast making the spot alongside Alfie his own.
