'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Jamie prefers a ground with an atmosphere

Rotherham United defender, Jamie Green says he prefers playing in games away from Don Valley.

Speaking to Dom Howson of The Star, the twenty-one year old said, 'It`s not great for the fans or the players playing at Don Valley.

'As players we like to play where there is an atmosphere while the fans like to be close to the players. You can`t achieve either at Don Valley and I prefer playing away because of the atmosphere you get. Even if you are getting stick from away fans, at least there`s an atmosphere.`

Making his first league start of the season in the two-all draw with Northampton at Don Valley last week, Jamie said, 'I haven`t had many opportunities this year and it was nice to get a start. I`ve been training as hard as I can and it was nice to get a game under my belt, though I did feel a bit rusty.`
