'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Jimmy gives his views on Gillingham

Rotherham United Assistant Manager, Jimmy Mullen said he is surprised that Gillingham are in the bottom half of the table.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Jimmy said, 'I think Gillingham had gone something like thirty-five games without winning an away game and now they've won their last two.

'They are a good side with some good players. It's always a hard place to go to and they are a tough side to play against. It will be a tough game for us.

'When I was a player and we went down there you always had to be at your very best to get anything out of it. That applies as a Manager too and it will be no different on Saturday and we need to be at our best to get anything out of the game.'

Like Gills Manager, Andy Hessenthaler, Jimmy has come back to the club he once played for, although for Andy, it is also his second time in charge of Gillingham, and Jimmy said, 'Being back here as Assistant Manager to Ronnie (Moore), I've loved every minute of it, I really have and I think it's a great football club and it's a football club that's going places.'

Jimmy played for two year with the Millers, and was captain when they were the champions of third division under manager, Ian Porterfield.
