'If It's Football, It's Vital'

View from the Opposition - Aldershot Town

Rotherham United moved up into fourth place yesterday after their comfortable one-nil win over Aldershot Town.

With Millers Manager, Ronnie Moore thinking that his side totally dominated the game for eighty minutes, Shots` Assistant Manager, Gary Owers thought his team took the game to the Millers in the first half.

Speaking to Radio Surrey Owers said, 'After looking for a response from the players after the FA Cup defeat to Dover, we are pleased with our performance today.

'I think we took the game to Rotherham in the first half and it was a game of what might have been if the penalty had gone in. I think we`ve done everything right today except put the ball in the back of the net. On another day we score the penalty and there were a couple of scrambles one where their defender cleared the ball off the line and it`s different.

'We`re not having a go at referees or linesman but there was a couple of decisions today that went against us which cost us dearly and it`s so frustrating.

'And, I don`t care what anyone says, we were worth at least a point today and on another day three, but we aren`t feeling sorry for ourselves, the lads are upbeat. We`ve got a good run of games coming up and it`s up to us to take those games head on and turn our season around.`

What do you think? Did the Shots deserve something from the game? Or was Ronnie right when he said the Millers dominated?
