RUFC - Safe Standing not in plans for new ground

RUFC - Safe Standing not in plans for new ground

Rotherham United officials and representatives were yesterday involved in talks about the development of the new ground at the old Guest and Chrimes site.

One thing that a lot of fans have asked about is a 'safe standing` area in the ground but Chief Operating Officer, Paul Douglas told The Star that this wasn`t among the plans.

'The talks were to look at various stadium designs and what would be suitable,` Mr Douglas said.

The new stadium is thought to be going to be bowl shaped and be an all seater with a twelve thousand capacity and will be ready to open at the start of the 2012/13 season
