RUFC -Postponements good news for Cress?

Rotherham United haven`t played since 11th December, in the one-nil win over Aldershot Town at Don Valley, and although it`s frustrating for the fans, it could be a blessing in disguise for skipper, Ryan Cresswell.

Cress broke his collarbone in that last game and everyone thought he would be missing quite a few crucial matches over the Christmas period. But, of course, that hasn`t happened and, although he`s not expected to be back until the end of February, he will, more than likely, play more games than was anticipated after his accident. So, some good may have come out of all the postponements.

The pitch at Don Valley was rock hard on Monday and there wasn`t much of a decision to be made regarding calling the Tuesday game off. The next game there is on New Years Day when Port Vale are in town and, although the weather has warmed up considerably, it may be just that little bit too late for the pitch to thaw out - but, fingers crossed, touching black cats, holding lucky rabbits feet, we may get to see a game.
