'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore on Adams

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore wasn't sure if it was a good thing that they are playing Port Vale tomorrow after their manager, Micky Adams has just left to take on the job as manager of Sheffield United.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield Moore said, 'Is it a good thing or is it a bad thing? Well, we probably won't know until five o'clock on Saturday. There will be players at the club who are glad he's gone and there will be those who will be unhappy that he's gone. And, to be honest, it's not going to change too much because the two lads they've brought in are from the back room staff so it's not like a stranger taking over. They'll know the set up and know how they'll play so I don't think it matters that much.

'It's fantastic for Micky Adams because he's a life long supporter of Sheffield United - mind you, I'm a lifelong supporter of Liverpool so I wonder whether......! No, we'll not go down that road!

'The expectation at Sheffield United is that they expect to win every game they play but the finances have kicked in you are going to need someone with experience and someone who knows how to handle the budget they are on and who knows what playing at Championship level is like and Micky's done that and he's got Alan Cork in there and the two of them are good characters and I wish them all the best.'
