RUFC - Moore looking forward to a fantastic game

Rotherham United play their first game since 11th December tomorrow and Manager, Ronnie Moore hopes things will go well, but said that one of the problems is that they haven't had that much time of late on grass.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield, Moore said, 'We trained Thursday and Friday on grass and hopefully that will be enough. But, you won't know until you play.

'We had Port Vale watched at Gillingham on Boxing Day and they looked a bit stale. But, maybe that game's done them a lot of good. But, it's about what we do on the park and if we play anything like we did against Aldershot then we will be more than a match for Port Vale. But, they are big and they are strong and we've spoken all week about not giving away uneccessary free kicks because they've got six or seven lads who are six foot plus. We've got four big 'uns to their six and they will give us a problem if we give away silly set plays. We've got to pass it and play at high tempo and stop their best player playing.'

Talking about ex Miller, Gary Roberts, Moore said, 'He is a fantastic footballer and you can't allow him time and space because if we do we'll get punished. He's fantastic from free kicks and his delivery from corners and set plays is good. His ability on the ball and on the pitch is brilliant it was off the field there was a problem.

'We've got to get enough balls out to Will (Atkinson) and enough out to Marsh (Marcus Marshall) because he's on fire at the moment, he's electric. And I'm hoping that their left back, Collins, is going to be in for a tough old time.

'I think it will be a fantastic game and hopefully we'll get a decent gate. I thought the fans were fantastic at the last home game.'
