RUFC - Moore on Vale defeat
Having got back to winning ways at the weekend Rotherham slumped to defeat against Port Vale on Tuesday.
Ronnie Moore, as he told BBC Radio Sheffield, felt that the battle between two of the league two promotion hopefuls was evenly matched with Rotherham having slightly the better of the 1st half: 'I thought it was a very even contest to be honest, especially the first half, where I thought we had the best of it.'
There was a lot of 'huff and puff' in the attacking end but the service and performance of the attacking players was not of the level that he would have expected: 'we huffed and puffed a bit going forward which is normally our strength, I think the five attacking players really weren't at their best today.
'We didn't get enough from the front three, well the front two and the two wide men. They're our way of winning games if you like, and when they are not quite all firing, it's very unusual.'
Back to the drawing board it is...
