'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - View from the Opposition - Crewe

Rotherham United were the victors yesterday afternoon against Crewe Alexandra at a very wet and windy Don Valley Stadium yesterday afternoon. Winning the game three-one, Millers Manager, Ronnie Moore said that he thought his team had worked hard while Alex Manager, Dario Gradi was disappointed the way the result went.

Speaking to Crewe`s Official Site, Gradi said, 'We didn`t look like we were in any real trouble then we go and concede two late goals.

'Rhys (Taylor) has a tendency to leave his line and he got in a tangle with Patrick Ada and I don`t know what happened but it cost us and let Le Fondre in.

'I`m not going to blame the strikers for this because they were fine and Moore looks most likely for us and you can never write AJ off.

'We defended poorly and conceded three goals and six on Tuesday which is relegation form. If we carry on defending like that we could be in a bit of trouble, I mean why David Artell wants to defend like Beckenbauer at the back, God only knows. We know they are capable of defending well but maybe I have to get into their heads a bit more.`

Ronnie Moore also thought the goal that AJ Leitch-Smith scored for the Alex was offside - what did you think?
