'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Fans Interview - Oxford United - part two

Rotherham United travel to Oxford on Saturday to take on the U's.

Telboy, who answered us some questions before our game in November at Don Valley against Oxford, has kindly done us an update.

Your season seems to have been going quite well since you played us at Don Valley a couple of months ago - you've moved up the table quite a bit. Do you think you could make the play-offs?

From what I have seen of the other teams we have played I can't see why not.

What`s changed at the club since you last played us?

We were really missing a couple of players as they were key to our play. Jake Wright who partners Harry Worley was missing hence we had the 6ft 7 Ben Futcher standing in. Also we were missing Damian Batt who I think made the bench but had just come back from fitness. Shame he will missing again due to suspension. Up front James Constable has got back to his best and is in now in the starting 11.

I see you brought in ex-Miller, Paul McLaren in January. What are your thoughts on him?

He has been massive for us replacing the outgoing Paul Wotton who did not make an impact really. Paul has been the level headed player in the centre of the park who plays the ball simple which is what we have needed.

Constable or Craddock - who is your best striker

Work rate has to be Constable although he is not a natural finisher. Tommy has the knack of hitting the back of the net but appears not to graft as much. Both are top strikers in their own right though.

What were your thoughts of Don Valley?

It reminded me of Gateshead with a running track around it. I thought the atmosphere was poor, which I put down to the stadium not being enclosed.

Who do you expect to be the biggest threat to the Millers on Saturday?

On our big pitch I think Alfie Potter is great when coming off the bench a real crowd pleaser with his pace and trickery.

And, who do you think will be the biggest threat to the U's?

Adam Le Fondre lethal given just an inch of a chance

What do you think Oxford's team will be?

4-3-3

Clarke Purkiss, Worley, Wright, Tonkin, McClaren, Hall, Clist, Craddock, Constable, MacLean

If you could add any player from any league at the moment to the Oxford squad, who would it be?

John Terry a natural leader and would help our defence

Finally, how about a prediction for Saturday's game?

Revenge 2-1 Scorers Constable and Potter

Thanks a lot, Telboy! Good Luck for the rest of the season - after Saturday of course!
