RUFC - Fenton hoping to keep on scoring

Rotherham United`s stand-in skipper, Nick Fenton hadn`t scored a goal for two years before this season - his last being against Barnet in October 2008 - but has three to his name this season, and hopes to go on and get some more.

Speaking to David Beddows of The Advertiser, the thirty-one year old said, 'I was disappointed not to score last season which was the first season in my career that had happened. But, I`m not doing anything different, the ball is just landing right for me.

'I`ve never got more than four in one season so I`m looking to do it this time, after all, the more I can get the better it is for the team.`

Nick`s three goals this season have come against Macclesfield, Southend and Crewe and he will be hoping to get number four at Oxford tomorrow.

'Oxford weren`t a bad side when they came to Don Valley,` Nick said, 'It was a hard game and we had to defend well. A lot of the teams are close and it`s just the odd thing that makes the difference in games. If it`s going for you, it`s going for you and in the last five or six games it hasn`t gone for us and we`ve lost some. It`s that little bit of luck you need at times and hopefully we will have it tomorrow.`
