'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Omar enjoyed his debut

Rotherham United took Omar Daley on loan from Bradford City last week, with Kevin Ellison going the other way.

The twenty-nine year old started on the bench on Saturday at Oxford but was soon on after an early injury to striker, Ryan Taylor and he told MillersPlayer that he enjoyed the game.

'It was a good debut for me,' Omar said, 'and I enjoyed every minute of it.'

Asked about his move to the Millers, the Jamaican born midfielder said, 'Bradford and Rotherham are both big clubs and both in League Two but Rotherham are higher up the table. In this league you never know, it's who plays who on the day. But, I'm really pleased to be given a go at Rotherham and to get promotion on my CV I would definitely love that.

'I'm here to the end of the season and hopefully everything will go well and, if I do well, then the gaffer might want to keep me and if the deal is right then why not, it's a good team. It's a pleasure playing with these players like Lawsy (Nicky Law) and even after we'd lost today I could feel the vibes in the dressing room were still strong.'

Asked what he saw of the penalty that Oxford got, Omar said, 'It was a bit soft but that's football. We could have got a penalty as well. But we are now looking forward to Tuesday.'
