RUFC - Moore on the three missing players tonight
Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore is disappointed that striker, Ryan Taylor won`t be fit for this evenings game against Accrington Stanley at Don Valley.
Speaking to MillersPlayer, Moore said, 'There`s not chance of him playing on Tuesday. It`s just unfortunate. It was a block tackle on the half-way line and it`s done his groin. He could be out two weeks but we just don`t know because it`s one of them that we`ll let it settle down and see what happens. Sometimes you`re lucky and it`s just a twinge but other times it could be two to three weeks.`
Asked about skipper, Ryan Cresswell, his manager said, 'Ryan was going to be playing in the Reserve game on Wednesday, but, unfortunately, on Friday he stayed behind and did some extra training and he chased after a ball and he`s gone in a little divot and done his ankle ligaments so he`s going to be another ten days to two weeks. It`s a shame for the lad because he was raring to go but it was swollen straight away.`
Going back to the game on Saturday at Oxford, Moore was asked about Callum Kennedy`s red card and said, 'He`ll just miss the one game. He was the last man and for some reason they always get a one game ban. It`s a shame that he was involved in both their goals really. We gave the ball away needlessly on the half-way line and he`s chased the lad mis-timed the tackle and they`ve gone in and scored. On the day I thought the penalty was nailed on but when I`ve seen it again I think it was a little bit harsh. The lads tugged him and he`s tugged him back so I think he was unfortunate.
'Then the penalty. Andy Warrington makes a great save with his left hand in the left hand corner then it spins over him and goes in at the right hand corner, it`s incredible how that happened. It would have been interesting if we`d saved the penalty, it would have been an interesting last half hour for us. And, to be fair, we should have had a nailed on pen. I thought on Saturday it was and I`ve seen the video since and there`s no way in this world it`s not a penalty.
'It`s just unbelievable how things are going but we can`t feel sorry for ourselves we just have to get on with it.`
Asked about the 4-3-3 system that the Millers have been playing, Moore said, 'Well, we still want to stick with it. We`ve still got players available who can play it. Marcus Marshall can play up there, Omar Daley came on on Saturday and played up in the three and we`ve got an abundance of midfield players at the club at this present time so there`s no reason why we can`t carry on if we need to with that pattern.`
