'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Henderson signs in

Rotherham United have signed striker, Liam Henderson on loan from Watford.

The twenty-one year old, who signed before the mid-day deadline, will be eligible for tonight`s game at Don Valley against Accrington Stanley.

Speaking to MillersPlayer Liam, who has had loan spells with Hartlepool, Colchester and Aldershot said, 'As soon as I heard of the interest from Rotherham I was more than happy to join the club. I just want to get out there and play as soon as possible and show the fans what I can do.'

After initially signing on a months loan, the six foot one inch striker said, 'I will have to see how it goes but I would be interested in an extended stay. You never know in football it could turn into a permanent deal or, on the other hand, it could be short term.

'I just want to get some games in and help the club as much as possible. I'm looking forward to maybe playing up front with Adam (Le Fondre) who is a proven goalscorer and I'm looking forward to meeting him and hopefully we can strike up a good understanding.'

Because Liam went to Aldershot in January, yet returned to Watford because of lack of games, he's not been able to play for a month due to contracts and said, 'I've been in limbo for a month and am looking forward to the challenge of playing for Rotherham.'
