RUFC - Moore 'Not great but we've worked hard'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore was pleased tonight after the Millers got, what he called 'a massive win' against Accrington Stanley at Don Valley.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield after Omar Daley and Adam Le Fondre had given the Millers all three points, 'It wasn't the best performance tonight, but, to be fair, we aren't worried too much about performances, but it was a massive win.

'On Saturday we played well and got beat but today we got that little bit of luck that we haven`t had in the past. We got the goals at the right time. We led a little bit of a charmed life in and around our box and the 'keeper has made one or two good saves but, you know, that's how you get into the top three. You have to win the horrible, rainy, Tuesday night games.

'We might look back on it and think, how have we come away with them points but we came away with it because they gave everything they've got. We've had a go, they've worked hard though our passing wasn't up to what it should be and we aren't kidding anybody because we know we didn't play well.'.

'Accrington hit us quite quickly on the counter attack at times and it wasn't a brilliant performance but it was full of effort, determination and grit and a wee bit of luck.'
