'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Moore 'dream is now a reality'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore spoke about the designs for the new stadium yesterday and said, 'We have lived the dream and now it`s going to be a reality.`

Speaking after the designs were unveiled yesterday, Moore told The Star, 'It`s an unusual stadium. It`s bowl shaped, which we all wanted, and it`s going to be a little like Millmoor with the fans close to the pitch. We want an intimidating atmosphere and, hopefully, we will get that at the new ground.

'Also, players will come and see the stadium, see the ambition here and will want to play in it which will increase our chances of bringing in better quality players.

'The new ground should be a lift to the players. We have a lot of players out of contract in the summer and they should be working their socks off to make sure they earn a new contract and get a chance of playing at the new ground.

'I also expect the crowds to increase. You only have to look at Chesterfield to see what a new ground can do.

'It would be nice if we can go into a new stadium in a higher league than we are now.`
