RUFC - Moore 'Coid sort of player we need'

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore says that bringing back Danny Coid, on loan from Blackpool, is competition for the other members of the squad.

Speaking to MillersPlayer before the team set off for Burton, Moore said, 'You need competition, especially on that left hand side. Newey`s got pressure now from the young kid, (Callum Kennedy), who was very unfortunate with the sending off but there`s pressure all over. The Centre-half position is a little bit short but I`ve not need to do anything unless something happened, then I`d be allowed to move for that.

'We`ve spoken to Danny Coid and he knows our interest in him and the best thing he can do is, for the six games he`s here for, show us what he`s capable of. Then come May or June there would be an opportunity for him to join the club.

'He`s played in League One and he knows what it`s all about. He`s got great experience and great quality when he goes forward and great balls into the box and he`s the type of player we need at the club.`
