RUFC - Ryan wants more goals

Rotherham United striker, Ryan Taylor is looking forward to being able to put 'promotion` on his CV at the end of the season.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield before scoring the goal that got the Millers a point at Torquay last night, the twenty-two year old said, 'I`ve never been involved in a promotion before and it would be good to put on my CV! I`ve been involved in relegations though!`

Ryan has had a new lease of life since the end of last season when he was sent to Exeter to get some games under his belt, and where he helped them stave off relegation, before coming back in time to score the Millers two goals in the League Two Play-Off Final at Wembley.

Having now scored nine goals this season, Ryan says he would like more, 'I`d like to get more goals and we`ve two quick wingers at the moment who can put the ball into the box. I`d like to get fifteen by the end of the season,` he said.

Talking about the Millers he said, 'It`s very tight at the top and the top six or seven are all there or there abouts so we`ve got to keep getting results. The pitches are softer now and your legs get heavier. Don Valley has got worse over the last month or so.

'I`d really like to be playing in League One with Rotherham United next season but at the moment I`m going to concentrate on my football and, at the end of the season, make a decision regarding my contract. I`m still young and improving and hopefully I`m showing people what I can do.`
