RUFC - Danny thought we deserved more

Rotherham United loanne defender, Danny Coid thought the Millers deserved more than the point they got on Tuesday night at Torquay.

Speaking to MillersPlayer after the game, the Blackpool loanee said, 'I thought we deserved all three points. I think in the opening ten minutes or so we struggled a little bit and we need to start brighter. But, I'm sure when we start at home we'll start well. It was one of those games tonight where the referee made a couple of decisions, well more than a couple, against us and the wind sort of spoilt it as well. But, although we deserved the three I think we are happy to get a point.

'I'm trying to find my feet again. Since I got injured last time I was here, I only trained once and played two reserve games and I've come here and gone straight into games. This game and the last one, early doors, I've got done down the line a couple of times but hopefully I'll get back in the next week or two. But, that's the problem that when I start to find my feet I've only got a couple of weeks left here. I'm gutted about that.

'At the end of my contract at Blackpool, Rotherham are a club I'd like to play for so I thought I'd come back here for the month allowed and leave my calling card and hope that Rotherham might come back in for me at the end of the season. In a way it's like I'm on trial and I've never really been in that situation before.

'I feel that Rotherham are like Blackpool. They have a good dressing room, a good set of lads and are friends off the pitch as well as on it. I don't want to be going to a club where there are people I don't like, where there's a few big timers. I don't want to go to a club like that because it's not me. I want to go into a dressing room where you are wanted, where you are accepted and where you get along with everyone. And Rotherham have definitely got that. I'd like to stop here, but I don't want to say too much because it's like I'm begging for a contract! At the end of the day, I'm in the shop window and I want to see what my options are and if any other clubs come in for me but Rotherham is a place where I enjoy playing.

'Just because I play for Blackpool I am now playing for Rotherham and I will give a hundred per cent. I won't be dodging tackles in case I get injured again. The lads need me out there because they've got a massive chance of going up and I want to do my best out there.'
