'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - View from the Opposition - Bury

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore thought his side deserved more than a point in the goalless draw at Don Valley against second place Bury yesterday afternoon.

But, Bury boss, and ex-Miller, Alan Knill thought it was a fair result.

Speaking to Radio Manchester, Knill said, 'I said to Ronnie coming off that I thought both teams had chances and perhaps they both lacked that bit of quality to take the three points.

'My team like to move the ball and you just can`t on that pitch and, once we got used to the pitch, I thought we defended the second balls pretty well.

'It was such an open game. It looked like we could counter attack and then they could counter attack and I didn`t think we played particularly well today but to come to one of our main rivals and not lose and keep a clean sheet is great for us.

'They are five points behind us and we still have a game in hand and, if you finish five points above Rotherham at the end of the season, that`s a pretty good season you`ve had. So, that`s our aim, to stay as far away from them as possible so not losing at this time of the season is a must.`
