RUFC - Moore pleased to keep Kennedy

Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore is happy to have been able to hang on to defender, Callum Kennedy until the end of the season.

'He's a young kid who had a dodgy start when he came in getting sent off at Oxford. But, with the games he's played since, he's been excellent. His use of the ball is good and he's a very attacking minded full-back which is something we will need on Friday night,' Moore told MillersPlayer.

Swindon Town boss, Paul Hart, had made noises about fetching the twenty-one year old back so he could run his eye over him and Moore said about that situation, 'Swindon wanted to take him back to have a look at him but Paul Hart is a good mate of mine and I spoke to him and told him that we'd got two Friday games and he'd see Callum on the telly or he could come and watch him. I also told him we're at Lincoln the following Friday which gives him a great opportunity to have a look at him. So, he had a little think about it and said we were OK to keep him.

'It was great news for us because, with Tom Newey out, we'd have been struggling and it's really vital that we've managed to keep him.'
