An Embarrassed Miller
That`s what I am this evening after watching Chesterfield maul Rotherham at the B2net stadium
Where was the passion from the players this evening - there was plenty in the crowd.
Where was the pride?
Did we actually put more than two passes together more than twice?
There was some dreadful defending this evening. Some appalling passing. Some dire tackling.
Ronnie Moore`s words before the game was 'If they aren`t up for this then there`s something wrong` - well Ronnie, there certainly is something wrong.
Last season, after the defeat in the play-off final it was 'judge me on MY players`- well I will and it`s not looking good.
He`s also said 'our Ian will set this team alight` - well, for gawds sake give him a match - or at least give him a go in the position he plays best in.
No, Alfie didn`t do a lot tonight but then again, how many times was he passed a decent ball?
I like Marcus Marshall but it was obvious after half an hour that he was out of sorts this evening - so surely Omar Daley should have come off the subs bench then and not just after the hour mark, and then not for Marshall who was eventually subbed with ten minutes to go.
I would talk about the mid-field but I can`t remember actually seeing one.
We were outclassed and outpaced tonight.
I understand the Chairman left at half-time - I wish I`d gone with him
And I can`t condone what a small section of Millers fans did to the advertising boarding round the ground - but, and this is not to say it should have happened, but why were fans allowed to stand in a 'no go area`?
These are just a few of my thoughts, but please feel free to tell me what yours are.
Vital Rotherham is now available on both facebook and twitter, so if you are that way inclined and more importantly understand all this new fangled dangled stuff, feel free to watch us, poke us or whatever else you are meant to do there!
