RUFC - Moore Gone

Rotherham United have now confirmed that they have parted company with Manager, Ronnie Moore and Assistant Manager Jimmy Mullen as from immediate effect.

It is understood that Andy Liddell, will be in charge until the end of the season assisted by Paul Warne and Andy Dibble

Ronnie Moore joined the Millers, for the third time on 25th September 2009, bringing ex-player, Jimmy Mullen with his as his number two. Moore played for the Millers from 1980-1983, scoring over fifty goals. He also managed the Millers from 1997 to 2005 where he got two successive promotions and kept us in the Championship for three years.

At the end of last month the Millers were going well in the last automatic spot in League Two but since then have dropped down to sixth after picking up only three points in five games.

Moore has also managed Southport, Oldham and Tranmere.

Defender, Jimmy Mullen played around fifty games for the Millers from 1980-82. Jimmy has also been manager of Cardiff, Newport, Blackpool, Burnley and Walsall.

I think we would all like to thank Ronnie for what he's done in the past for the Millers and wish him and Jimmy all the best

So - once again the Millers are looking for a new manager …. I wonder who it will be
