RUFC - Cress 'play like our lives depend on it'
Rotherham United skipper, Ryan Cresswell says he was disappointed that Ronnie Moore has gone but that it's now time to move on.
Speaking to Millers Player the former Bury defender said, 'Ronnie signed me in the summer and made me the captain and I've got a lot to thank him for. I'm disappointed and as a team we are disappointed that we let the gaffer down. But, Lids and Warney are in charge now and we have to play these last nine games like our lives depend on it.'
Asked if things were different with Andy Liddell and Paul Warne at the helm, Cress said, 'No, not really. They've fine tuned a few things and instilled a bit more professionalism and have put their own stamp on things.'
Asked about Nicky Eaden coming in, Cress said, 'It's good to have someone just specifically for defensive things like the shape and back four work.
'We were all disappointed with the game on Friday but that's behind us now. We know that we are miles better than what we showed and it means we have to show it tomorrow. Lincoln are a good, well organised side but they have been a bit inconsistent at times, but so have we. We need to get a consistent run going now until the end of the season and get back to where we want to be.'
